WARNING #1: This book is recommended for mature audiences ONLY due to language and explicit sexual content.
WARNING #2: This series of novellas are prequels to her Original Sinners series . While they can be read as a stand alone series, there will be some spoilers revealed.
This second installment of her "Last Good Knight" series picks up where book one left off. You learn the reasoning behind Søren daring to interrupt Nora while she was in session, and now its time for the consequences.
I really enjoyed learning more about Lance in this installment. It was a surprise to learn that he not only had a child with his ex-wife, but the reason behind why he did not have custody of her (it was appalling to say the least). Ms. Reisz has an uncanny ability to make all of her characters (and their struggles) feel real in a way that few authors are able to achieve.
The banter between Nora and Lance was also present in this installment, and the sexual tension between them due to Kingsley's so sex rule was palpable. You wanted to scream in frustration along with Nora as her wants were denied time and again. Plus the ending with Søren was a total OH MY GOD moment... that I hope will continue on to the next book.
I would definitely recommend this (and her other novels if you haven't read them) to those that enjoy a good, well-written erotica story.
